Frame-mounted for heavier top & side loads (bags not included).

For disk-brake equipped bikes, carries up to 25 kg (55 lb), reflector attachable, TIG-welded, heat-treated, anodized aluminum. Compatible with Ibera PakRak trunk bags, eco-friendly reusable bags and side pannier bags (IB-BA1, IB-BA3, IB-BA4, IB-BA7, IB-BA8, IB-BA9, IB-BK1) or strap-on bags. Fits most frames.

Works on bikes without disk brake mounts Sep 17, 2011 By JustPlainDon
I decided to go with Quick Clip-On Panniers using Ibera's rack system, but it's almost impossible to find one for regular bikes (i.e., non-disc brake systems). I saw a post stating that the IB-RA5, while made for disc brake bikes, would work on regular braking systems. I can say that the reply is correct. You can use brute strength to push hold and attach the rack to your frame or you can give it a gentle bend before you mount it (don't go crazy....just a little bit of a bend). BTW, the rack does NOT include Allen wrenches which would have been handy, but most of us have a set of these lying around somewhere. I would say I had the rack attached to the bike in 10 to 15 minutes at the most. I didn't time it and I was in no rush to get it attached.

The IB-BA4 Bicycle Quick Clip-On Panniers took about 5 seconds each and my guess is that 3 seconds is probably going to be my average now that I see exactly how they attach.

Overall, I'm very pleased with both bike rack and the bag system. The rack is aluminum so it should be both sturdy and light. The weight is comparable to my older Blackburn rack (but it is heavier if you are counting grams). I use my bike to commute to work on occasion, short rides and to carry groceries so I am constantly taking the bags off for commuting and on for grocery shopping. I think the quick on and off feature of the bags will make this a worthwhile investment providing the bag clips don't stop functioning prematurely.

Attached easily to my bike, even without disk breaks. Solid. So much nicer than the old junky ones that you need to bend the rods to adapt to your frame. This has a clever set up that is very flexible. Works fine with my v breaks.

Large bags can sit way back so no more hitting them with my heals.

Attached within minutes to my Novara Zealo (with disc brakes). Excellent clearance of discs. Perfect fit, excellent quality. Built for PakRak bags, but all of my bags are non-PakRak and fit perfectly well. Planet BikeTail Light Rack Bracket is also a perfect fit for this rack.

The Ibera PakRak is really nice. Very sturdy yet light weight and looks nice too. Can't beat the deal. Been carrying my grocerys on it.
